Amy C. Aliengena, LPC, MBA

Therapist/Owner

Amy has unique and resourceful abilities by connecting easily with people on an individual level, by listening intently and focusing in on the details while viewing the big picture. She will help you identify and sharpen your current strengths while learning new techniques to manage life’s challenges. She has been counseling people for over 20 years; From field work, group practice, substance abuse, day programs and the corporate field, to opening her own private practice in 2012. Amy’s experience in counseling people of all ages in multiple settings, including the corporate arena allow her to understand those unique pressures and responsibilities.

Amy’s core education is founded on a masters degree in psychology from the University of Hartford, an advanced degree in counseling from Springfield College, and a MBA from Western New England University. During the pandemic Amy’s quest for knowledge led her to delve into the complexities of neuroscience and the brain, which awarded her a certificate in applied neuroscience and brain health presented by neuroscientist Dr. Sarah McKay, PhD. Recently, Amy underwent intense training to be able to understand, assess, manage, and treat chronic suicidality as presented by clinician and researcher Ms. Anna Lieber, LMHC, NCC/CCMHC, DE. Amy's dedication to ongoing education is tireless and her experience lends to a deep understanding of the individual and the complexities of life.

Taylor Piggott, LPCA

tHerapist

Taylor is a thoughtful and creative therapist who creates connections easily by using play and art therapy to build and foster a therapeutic alliance. She has experience in schools and in the clinical setting working with kids, teens, parents and families on processing challenges, traumas and developmental milestones. Taylor easily creates a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in your own time. She has an extensive educational background and is currently enrolled in Sacred Heart’s play and art therapy program where she will receive her art therapy degree. She holds a certificate of advanced graduate study from Central Connecticut State University and a Masters degree from Creigton University in K-12 school counseling and preventative mental health. Taylor is energetic and enthusiastic about her work and uses her energy to empower her clients. She uses an integrative approach that is person-centered, solution focused, and expressive oriented.

Erica Misiorski, LPC

THERAPIST

Erica is a personable and compassionate therapist who uses her knowledge and skills as a school psychologist to help kids of all ages work through difficult educational and life transitions. She has experience working with kids in High school, middle school and K-3 age ranges, as well as with parents and caregivers. Erica has direct knowledge and abilities in navigating the 504 and IEP processes in academia and she will help navigate this difficult terrain. Erica currently works as a school psychologist at the Ben Bronz Academy in West Hartford, CT. She has worked in the Enfield public schools as a school psychologist, a research associate at The University of Connecticut, and therapeutic staff support at Connecticut Youth Resources. She has a Masters degree from The University of Hartford in school psychology, as well as professional certificate in school psychology. She works tirelessly to understand and empower her clients and uses mostly cognitive behavioral therapy, problem solving, and solution based short term therapy.
